Excellent sporadic E conditions have been observed each day since June 18, particularly on the 19^th and 20^th lots of interesting stations have entered the log books. Hopefully we will see at least a few of those logs in the next FM News.

87.80 R Bayrak från den turkiska delen med EE px "R Bayrak International" med ID för både FM och KV. Kanske viss chans på ett bra skip. Diskuteras väl som separat radioland?
88.40 R Mega, Larnaca "Mega Stars", "Hot Mega".
90.90 R Napa, Aya Napa med EE ID. Enl uppgift varje söndag, lokal tid 0800-0900 med svenska. Kunde kolla från 0845 søndagen 9.5, men endast non stop mx då. Kan vara häftigt att jaga vid lämplig skip!

Lithuania

A new nation-wide FM broadcaster is expected to start programming in July 1999, according to Lithuanian daily 'Respublika'. It's name will be 'Lietus' (meaning 'rain' in Lithuanian, and possible source for the name of the country according to some theories). The new program will be broadcast over the network of stations of the former 'Ultra Vires' which presently carries 'M-1 Plius' program. The new program will consist of Lithuanian music and talk shows and most probably will be on the air daily from 0600 to 2400 CE(S)T, i.e. 0400-2200 UTC.

The 'Lietus' project was made public in April 1999, following purchase of more than 60% of Ultra Vires' shares by Lithuanian media tycoon Hubertas Grusnys, who already owns two nation-wide FM networks in this country and airs two radio programs, 'M-1' and 'M-1 Plius'. (Sigitas Zilionis)

Moldova

Due to financial crisis in Moldova the 2nd National Radio program has been off the air for a month or so. The operation time of the 1st National Radio program has been shortened to 6 hrs a day (1500-2100 UTC).
Since June 7th, 1999 TRM (National TV), OPT (Russia), TVR-1 (Romania) have been relayed by Moldavian transmitters for 3 hrs a day (1700-2000 UTC).
Radio Rossii Nostalgie (Moscow) has been relayed in Kishinev on 105.2 MHz since same June 7.(EA)

9/6/99 at 06:00 Dutch Time JFK FM stopped their transmission and was replaced by Business Nieuws Radio.

So no JFK FM anymore but BNR via:
