nok en gang blir det en fyldig nyhetsseksjon, mens det er minimalt med både QSL- og loggbidrag. Nå som det er like før årets FM-sesong starter, er det vel flere av oss som sjekker at antenne og annet utstyr fungerer. Jeg har ihvertfall tenkt å sette av en time eller to denne helgen for montering av antenne og kontroll av nedføring (coax).

R. CONTACT is new in Kinrooi on 105.1 MHz, the successor of former R. Grensland. R. VOA EUROPE can be heard via 89.9 R. ZID Sarajevo, 96.2, 96.4 and 104.1 R. PRIJEDOR and 102.7 R. KAMELEON Tuzla.
R. MIR, which is run by NATO peacekeeping troups started on Jan 15, 1997. Future plans say that it will be relayed by up to 50 local radio stations.
New FATAH R. offers a radio programmes on 108.0 and later 105.9, intended for muslim communities in Bosnia. It is financed by the Iranian government.

Bulgaria

98.30 R. Darik, Sofia (new, listed is BBC 1 kW), an oppositional private radio station. 98.90 R. Aura, Blagoevgrad, new since mid 1996. (BBCM 1/97 via Roger Thauer via Reflexion #138)

Ceuta

Croatia

On Nov 30, 1996 independent R. 101 was withdrawn its license. Officially this happened because of financial problems of the station. Croatic opposition protested and succeeded: On Jan 24, 1997 R. 101 got its license back. HRT regional programmes from Osijek can be heard on 91.1 MHz Slatina, 97.7 Papuk, 102.0 Psunj, 102.4 Drenovici and Osijek, 103.6 Otok, 105.3 Vinkovci and 105.6 Zlatarevac. RDS/PS-Code reads as ‘R-OSIJEK’. Address Samacka 13, HR-31000 Osijek.
AFN Bosnia can be heard via 99.00 Power Network, Zagreb and 101.10 Power Network, Slavonski Brod.

R. OK is now on 103.4. The former used 93.9 had to suffer from interference by PR 3 Jelenia Gora.
R. KAROLINA is a new local station, broadcasting from Plzen-Radec on 104.7 MHz.

Denmark

DR P2Musik has started test transmissions, they have a license to test // DAB until 1998 when the politicians will decide who is going to get the fourth national network. This program broadcasts only classical music, however, they transmit DR P2 before noon and DR P3 at night. The following frequencies are used:

Faroe Islands

Baden-Württemberg

FREIES RADIO Stuttgart is a new non-commercial station in Stuttgart with 100 W.
S 2 KULTUR Stuttgart moved to 93.1 MHz (ex 95.7). 95.7 is now served by the Mühlacker site with S4 BW on air.

SDR und SWF will terminate own programming effective Dec 31, 1997 and restart on New Year's Day 1998 as one station named Südwestdeutscher Rundfunk (SWR). Former SDR 1, SWF 1, S4 and SWF 4 will continue, but under a new name. SDR 3 und SWF 3 merge to a new program. S 2 KULTUR remains quite unchanged. (TAZ / Reflexion #138).

Bavaria

Since Oct 10, 1996 former ANTENNE FRANKEN now identifies as RADIO BAMBERG. Its Bamberg transmitter on 88.5 MHz increased its ERP to 500 W (ex 200 W). The music format changed to ‘adult-contemporary’.

Change of frequencies in Weiler: R. Lindau now on 97.20 and BR 2 on 100.30.

Berlin / Brandenburg

On 87.9 VOA EXPRESS is now on the air in the evening hours. During daytime hours the regular VOA programme are broadcast.Once in a week the university-run UNIRADIO can be heard.
Catholic RADIO PARADISO (RDS/PS code PARADISO) started on Feb 2, 1997 on 98.2 MHz. It replaces SOFT HIT RADIO which had to close down in late fall.
The Turkish language broadcaster on 94.80 in Berlin identifies as R. Makaria and is scheduled to go on the air on May 19, 1997 (Newspaper article & KURIER 5/97via Reflexion #138).
Uniradio Berlin can now be heard daily at 17.00-18.00 and 21.00-22.00 on 87.90.

Non-commercial RADAR from Darmstadt got a license for using 103.4 MHz with 160 W, as well as RADIO UNERHÖRT Marburg (93.3) and DAS! REGIONALRADIO using a site in Eschwege (99.7).

OFFENER KANAL in Osnabrück started on Oct 18, 1996 using 104.8 MHz with 1 kW.
On Nov 15, 1997 OFFENER KANAL Oldenburg succeeded (106.5 - 1 kW).
Non-commercial RADIO AKTIV, located in Hameln, is now on the air on 94.8 MHz with 100 W regularly.
RADIO FLORA plans to launch out in May, as a license was granted by responsible NLM for 106.5 MHz.
Effective Apr 1, 1997 Stadtradio Göttingen went on the air on 107.10 with 1 kW.

North Rhine-Westphalia

RADIO RUR is said to close down soon.

Saxony

The SLM authority announced use of newly coordinated transmitters in Auerbach (88.2 MHz - 500 W), Hoyerswerda (102.8 - 500), Reichenbach (100.5 - 1000) and on Fichtelberg mountain (107.7 - 2000).

Saxony-Anhalt

Effective Jan 1, 1997 MDR increased power to 44 kW at the Wittenberg site. Affected are MDR LIFE on 104.0 MHz and MDR KULTUR on 104.0. In case of non-interfering other transmitters power is planned to be increased up to 100 kW.
MDR Sputnik plans to go on the air in Halle on 104.40, 10 kW.

International Waters

ARUTZ FM runs test broadcasts using an offshore tranmitter on a ship using 102.6 MHz.

Free radio activities in Dublin as heard in July 1996: 88.2 MHz m non stop dance music (no identification was given), 88.4 m ABC Dublin, 96.3 m Radio Active, 98.6 m Power FM, 99.3 m Radio Active, 100.0 st Radio Dublin, 100.7 m Jazz FM, 101.1 m Alcatraz Radio, 101.3 m Ace FM, 101.8 m UCB, 103.0 m Radio Caroline, 103.2 st Pulse 103, 105.4 st Coast FM, 106.0 st DLR (Dun Laoghaire Local Radio), 106.4 st Club FM, 106.8 st Hot 107, 107.1 st Vibe 107.1 FM, 107.8 m XFM, (m=mono, st=stereo).
Religious orientated UBC uses the following frequencies (locations given are not transmitter sites!): 97.8 Dundalk, 99.7 Athlone, 100.6 Navan, 101.4 Coleraine, 101.7 Dublin and 105.0 Londonderry.
RADIO NORTH moved from 103.8 to 103.7 MHz.
CLUB FM Dublin is still active, but on 106.4 MHz (not 105.7).

Italy

Radio Asti offers two programs: R. ASTI NETWORK (90.3 and 104.4 MHz) and R. ASTI EUROPE on 98.5, which also relays Vatican R. and SRI Berne.
R. UNO was heard on slightly shifted 104.4 MHz (ex 104.5) in Vienna.

Switzerland

A new tranmitter site of R. FÖRDERBAND (96.9 MHz) and R. EXTRABERN (98.4) is Schönbüel.
THURGAU’s new site is Reutenen on 100.2 MHz with 500 W using vertical polarization. Their former frequencies 90.0 Otterberg and 103.3 Herden closed down in December; as a counter-move 90.0 Rorschacherberg was inaugurated.
EULACH started on 96.1 in Wiesendangen on Nov 26, 1996 which means an additional transmitter with 50 W, directed towards SW-NW.
EULACH plans a new transmitter on 103.3 MHz in Schaffhausen-Kohlfirst.
BERNER OBERLAND is new on Büelberg mountain using 95.8 with 50 W.
Since Dec 13, 1996 R. BASILISK possesses a new transmitter in Grellingen on 88.8 with 100 W.
Former Eggflue activities on 92.1 had to close down due to interference problems with S2KULTUR on 92.0.
RSR 2 still uses its Biel-Magglingen site on 99.7 MHz in contradiction to official PTT information.
SCHWYZ plans to increase its reception area serving Glarus and Uri cantons later-on, too. The new name should be R. DREI. In Glarus canton some new transmitting sites are planned, e.g. Sool - no further details available!
JURA BERNOIS suffers from severe problems: the station is said to be sold.
A new local radio in Fribourg is RADIO QUARTIER D'ALPES on 101.2 MHz, the only terrestric quarter radio in Switzerland as far as we know.

Syria

R. GECKO is said to be on the air on 95.9 MHz from Camp Faouar, Golan Heights. It is run by UNDOF/AUSBATT. Rumor has it that even German programs are broadcast.

Turkey

In Southern shore situated Alanya follwing tourist radios could be received: R. EXPRESS on 92.3 MHz (Scandinavian languages) , R. SUN 102.3 (English) and R. KYMPPI 104.3 (Finnish).
Holiday R. transmits German news bulletins at 0830,1030,1230,1830 and 2130. Frequencies used are: 97.40 Bodrum, 100.50 Izmir, 100.60 Antalya, 101.00 Marmaris, Pamukkale, 101.60 Istanbul, 101.90 Kusadasi, 103.00 Nevsehir and 105.90 Kalkan (WAZ via Reflexion #138)

Ukraine

MIX 96 on 96.2 MHz now with RDS/PS: _MIX_96_. ORCHARD FM has a new transmitter in Tauton/Shoreditch on 96.5 MHz.
In Belfast is BELFAST CITY BEAT on 96.7 MHz on the air again.
B-97 (96.9 MHz) in Bedford has local programming from 6 till 9 h local time.
FM 103 HORIZON now uses RDS/PS HORIZON_.
2-TEN FM can be heard via Henley-on-Thames on 103.4 MHz, not 96.7 as originally planned (RDS/PS 2-TEN_FM.
The former 96.1 MHz transmitter of HALLAM FM was closed down on Aug 19, 1996.
OXYGEN 107.9 FM got an ILR license, the first which has ever been granted to a students’ radio, and will start broadcasting in February.
KISS 105 plans to launch its programme in Februay on the following frequencies: 105.1 MHz (Leeds), 105.6 (Bradford & Sheffield) and 105.8 (Hull).

Yugoslavia

On Dec 3, 1996 Belgrade-based B 92 was forced to close down due to anti-governmental programs. Serbian opposition interprets this as an affend to freedom of broadcasting. Additionally some station which relayed B 92 programming were closed, e.g. in Kragujevac and Cacak.
